Laser engraving and cutting has come a long way in the last few years enabling makers, crafter and many creators to mass produce items at a very low cost, Items which would normally be designed out of house and made to order by a large company. Today, you can create items for small and large runs with very little added cost. From unique labels for craft items to full assembly kits can all be created, in numbers from 1 to 1000 or more easily and cheaply.
The technology has been made available to many makers, with desktop and small office machines built to a high spec and to run cheaply.
Our Lasers
We have recently aquired a 50Watt JPT Fibre laser in order to fulfill inquiries from customers who want text, logos and graphics laser engraved on metal. This is pure engraving, no sprays involved. All sorts of metals can be engraved also due to the complexity of the machine we can also produce various colours.
We have a 6080mm by 400mm C02 laser built by HPC, a reputable british company and we are capable of cutting and engraving many different materials, including, but not limited to wood, plastic, slate, leather, paper, card and foam. Small or large runs. We take orders from £5 and up. This enables you to cheaply try out different designs in different materials at very low cost, to get that perfect product or embellishment.
Pricing
Priceing depends on a number of factors, logo type, number of units, material etc, but an individual engraved item such as a name on something can be as little as £12.99+VAT, with reductions on larger quantities or regular orders. Laser Engraving and Cutting Workflow
Phone call
Initially, a phone call or email to us is enough to get the ball rolling on a project. Then, if its your design or artwork, that needs to be provided in a format that’s suitable, or we can convert it. Costs are discussed and if agreed, email confirmation is all thats needed.
Creative
Over the agreed timetable, materials can be approved via video or photo, and before commencing a run on the laser machine.
Delivery
Finally, Items will be packaged and sent over when payment has been provided.
We aim to make the process as simple and painless as possible.

Here at Mon3d, the heart of what we do is ‘make’ from CNC carvings , laser engraving and cutting, 3d printing, and everything is our own design, concept and thought are ours, unless you have something you want, that originates from your idea, but need help to create.
Gaining from a degree in illustration and design with a background in woodturning and woodcarving, we have brought out traditional methods into the digital world.
Where home manufacturing is now, not an expensive option, and items can be a ‘one off’.
What kind of clients do you work with?
We are fairly new to laser cutting and engraving as a service provider, but not new to the technology. We, so far, have provided the service for designers and crafters, We are actively looking for larger contracts, as well as providing the service for the individual who has a need for small runs and small projects.
What is your turn around time?
Turn around time depends largely on the project, but a lot of small runs can be turned around in as little as a day. Some larger projects and larger quantities will take longer. This largely depends on what you need, but we wont cut corners, creativity does take a little time.
What will it cost?
Again this largely depends on the project. Our work is so varied that we try and price up each project separately. If you have a certain budget, then we usually can tailor the work to suite. As an individual providing this service there are very few overheads, so we can be very competitive.
